Goals & mastery

Goals are structured the way real IEP goals are written: condition + behavior + criterion + cue allowance + consecutive-session window. Start from the goal bank — articulation, language, fluency, AAC, motor speech/apraxia — and tweak from there.

How progress is judged

The progress bar counts consecutive data sessions at criterion (e.g. 2 of 3). When the criterion is met, the app asks YOU to confirm mastery — it never advances a goal on its own, because that judgment is clinical, not arithmetic.

The trend chart shows accuracy per session with three lines: overall, independent-only, and cued-only, against the criterion line. Watching the independent line climb toward the cued line is watching your cues fade.

What teachers see (school profiles)

Each goal carries an optional “what to listen for” line — the plain-language version a classroom teacher sees in their weekly check-in. Write it the way you’d say it in the hallway; leave it blank and they see the general area instead. Teachers never see the clinical goal text, data, or notes.

Discontinuing and reactivating

Goals can be discontinued with a reason (kept in the record) and reactivated later. Delete exists only for goals with no data — history is never quietly erased.
